How does a virtual summit work?
SESNA 2021 is a one-day virtual summit. It'll be like a fancier version of a Zoom call that you may have done at some point during the pandemic, only we'll be using the spatial.chat platform! The link will be emailed to all ticket holders the morning of the event.
Will everyone else be able to see and hear me?
Not if you don't want them to. During sessions, everyone but the speakers will be muted automatically so you don't have to worry about that, but in the networking and workshop sessions you'll have the opportunity to connect and chat. It's always great to be able to see audience members' faces but you, of course, have the right to turn off your video if you'd prefer!
I’m not from Northern Australia. Can I still attend?
Absolutely. Anyone is welcome to attend. While our speakers and content will mostly focus on the Northern Australia region, we will be covering topics that are relevant for the wider social enterprise sector. SESNA 2021 will also be particularly relevant for people working in rural or remote sectors.
I’m not a social entrepreneur (yet!). Can I still attend?
Yes! This event is for anyone who is interested in understanding the opportunity that comes with social enterprise, whether you are working in the sector right now or not.
What if my internet doesn’t work well enough on the day?
It's a pain when tech fails, isn't it? We are actually recording all of the sessions so, rest assured, you won't miss out! Every ticketholder will receive a post-event email with links to view the sessions so you'll be able to catch up at your own pace.
I only want to attend one session, do I have to buy a whole ticket?
Yes. We are only offering one general admission ticket type, regardless of the number of sessions you attend. The ticket price allows you full online access to the summit, plus access to our follow-up materials.
